Normally, Windows computers already have a good graphical screen resolution, but if you encounter problems with distortions, size not adapted to the screen or any other problem, you can change these settings in a very simple way to correct the problems found. Here’s how to do that.

Setting the screen resolution

To configure the screen resolution by the display settings, right-click on the desktop and choose Display settings:

You will be redirected to the Video section of the Windows system settings. In Screen resolution, use the sliding menu to choose the resolution you want. Based on your monitor, Windows will always recommend a specific resolution, but certain uses, especially games and some software, may require another resolution:

A message will appear on the screen with a countdown for the change to take effect. You can also click Keep changes to confirm your intention:

You can return to the recommended resolution at any time by repeating the procedure described above.
