Realme 5 came as the first smartphone lineup by Oppo’s former subsidiary with a quad-camera setup. The company launched this series with the Realme 5 and the Realme 5 Pro starting at Rs. 9,999 back in August. Now, the standard variant has received a price cut in the country. Details are as follows:
Realme 5 Price Cut In India
The Realme 5 was launched in three different configurations – 3GB RAM+ 32GB storage and 4GB RAM+ 64GB storage, and 4GB RAM+ 128GB storage. The company has axed the price of the base variant with 3GB RAM which is now retailing at Rs. 8,999 instead of Rs. 9,999 launch price.
The mid-variant can be purchased at Rs. 9,999, while the top-end variant at Rs. 10,999. All the variants can be purchased from Flipkart in Crystal Purple and Crystal Blue colors. You can also opt for exchange offers on old smartphones and avail a discount of up to Rs. 8,900. You can also opt for no-cost EMI offers starting at Rs. 750 per month.
Realme 5 Hardware And Software Features
The Realme 5 is equipped with a 6.5-inch with 720 x 1600 pixels HD+ resolution. There is a waterdrop notch housing the selfie camera and the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The quad-camera setup at the rear accommodates a 12MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, a 2MP macro, and a 2MP depth sensor.
The notch upfront packs a 13MP camera for selfies with an f/2.0 aperture. The handset gets its power from an octa-core Snapdragon 665 processor accompanied by up to 4GB RAM and 128GB storage options.
The device supports up to 256GB microSD card and ships with Android Pie OS layered with a Color OS skin on top. The device comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and offers a Face Unlock feature for security.
In terms of connectivity, the Realme 5 is equipped with a 3.5mm headphone jack, a microUSB 2.0 port, dual VoLTE, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. Rounding off the specification sheet is a 5,000 mAh battery.
