Many people find the screen or sticker to protect their smartphone cracked, cracked and not changed immediately but continue to use because they still touch well and do not affect the normal experience. However, this has many potential risks for users to encounter serious accidents.
Specifically, a male gamer named Azuan Iqbal Abdullah Sani, 23, in Malaysia, almost lost his thumb just because he refused to replace the cracked protective sticker.
The reason is that this gamer still plying the screen of his smartphone to play games for 4 months despite the cracked sticker. This makes the guy’s thumb appear strange bumps with black spots.
Although there was no tear or bleeding, the bump caused Azuan much pain. The guy went to the doctor for an examination. As a result, Azuan’s fingers became seriously infected. Despite being treated with antibiotics, the situation not only did not improve but also became worse, the pain became worse. Azuan had to be hospitalized for treatment, and the doctor even diagnosed that to remove the tiny pieces of glass that were embedded in his fingertips causing necrosis, he might have undergone a surgery.
Fortunately, Azuan did not have to cut off his thumb like the doctor’s initial diagnosis.
After the treatment, Azuan shared that it was too easy to replace the screen protector but he did not. That incident made him a little handicapped if he treated later.
Azuan adds, he hopes that people will immediately replace the screen protector or new screen if they crack after knowing what happened to him.
