The rescue team rescued 10 people and sent them to hospitals in the area. This force is still conducting field searches.

This “underground” textile factory is located underground in a villa in Elmors district, in the city of Tangiers. The total number of people working for the above illegal facility is unknown. Authorities opened an investigation to clarify the case.

In recent weeks, Morocco has experienced heavy rains following a prolonged drought. In early January, a few degraded buildings in the economic capital of Casablanca collapsed due to severe weather, killing at least four people. Inundation in many cities is often exacerbated by poorly maintained drainage systems. In 2014, 50 people were killed by heavy rains and floods in southern Morocco.
