EA 2021 fiscal year financial report: revenue of 5.6 billion US dollars, net profit of 800 million US dollars

EA released the fourth quarter of fiscal 2021 and the full-year financial report of fiscal 2021. In the fourth quarter, EA’s revenue barely exceeded expectations, reaching $1.35 billion, a decrease of 10% compared to the same period last year. The net profit was US$76 million, exceeding the loss of US$19 million predicted by EA, but it was a very large drop from the US$418 million in the same period last year. The lower profit in the fourth quarter was partly due to the huge taxes of $165 million.

For the entire 2021 fiscal year, EA’s revenue was US$5.63 billion, an increase of approximately 10% compared to the 2020 fiscal year. The net profit in fiscal year 2021 is US$837 million, which is a significant drop from the US$3 billion in fiscal year 2020. Of course, part of the factor here is still due to taxes, and another factor is that EA has received a large number of one-off credits in 2020.
