After unveiling the design of the two smartphones last May, Jon Prosser has now revealed a good part of their technical sheet. According to him, the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro will be well equipped witha chip named “Whitechapel” designed by Google itself. He hasn’t shared any information regarding its power, but we do know it should rival Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 870.

At the front, we will find a 6.4-inch AMOLED display on the Pixel 6, and one 6.71-inch AMOLED display on the Pixel 6 Pro. According to previous information, the two would be compatible 120 Hz and will be respectively FHD+ et QHD+. The Pixel 6 will be powered by ubattery of 4614 mAh, against 5000 mAh on the Pro version.

Google is finally improving the photo part of its smartphones!

Even though Google’s algorithm sometimes works wonders, recent Pixels have so far always been hampered by old sensors that the American giant had been using for years now. This should finally change at the end of the year with the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro.

On the photo side, we will find the main 50 MP sensor that the leaker @heyitsyogesh had unveiled as well as a 12 MP ultra wide-angle sensor. The Pro version is entitled to a third 48 MP periscope sensor, which should allow 5X optical zoom. Up front, the Pixel 6 can count on a 8 MP selfie camera, and the Pixel 6 on a 12 MP camera.

This confirms that Max Weinbach gave a few months ago regarding the technical characteristics of the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro. For now, information on its price indicates that they will be much more expensive than their predecessors, without however revealing a precise price. However, we now know that the Pixel 6 will be available with 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of storage, while the Pixel 6 Pro will benefit from 12 GB of RAM and 128, 256 or 512 GB of storage.
