Last night, Apple officially launched the first version of iOS 13 Public Beta for all users to experience. The iOS 13 version has a lot of changes, such as the new Dark Mode interface, more useful Apple Maps applications and many more cool things.
If you are afraid to update this test version early, or are hesitating, these are the most prominent features and changes of iOS 13 for you to refer to.
Dark Mode interface
This is probably the most anticipated update. The iOS 13 Dark Mode interface will turn the entire system, Settings menus, notifications and default Apple apps into dark backgrounds. Third-party applications have not changed, due to the API update.
In theory, the Dark Mode interface will help the iPhone to own a more battery-efficient OLED display, but so far there has been no thorough testing.
Immediately after activating Dark Mode in Settings> Display & Brightness, you will see the interface of the entire setting turn black, the font changes to white. The main screen interface also becomes a bit darker, both the dock below where the application calls and messages also become darker.
Apple also allows users to schedule to automatically switch to the Dark Mode interface, or set up based on the setting of the Sun. Apple will also place a shortcut in the Control Center, but this test hasn't been found yet.
The default Photos Photos app of iOS 13 also changes, adding a new view mode, automatically arranging photos, suggesting commemorative photos. The new interface may not be familiar to some users, but the arrangement of images is very smart, so you won't spend much time getting used to it.
The application will also suggest outstanding photos from time to time, or remind you of commemorative photos of the day in the past, this is a great feature and can help you recall old events. .
More specifically, a new set of photo editing tools. The new tool allows you to adjust the brightness, contrast, highlights, saturation, white balance, sharpness, texture and noise reduction. The user interface is very simple with a scroll wheel to adjust the level for each editing mode.
The Google Maps map application has always been rated higher than Apple Maps for a long time, and Apple wants to change that with iOS 13 with a completely new application. And the first impression with Apple Maps on this iOS 13 Public Beta version is very good.
Simple and lightweight application, processing speed is significantly improved. Even so, it still displays all the necessary information, besides the roads, there are also names of restaurants, tourist spots, hospitals, gas stations, ATMs …
Apple's old Reminder app isn't really useful, its only outstanding feature is iOS's default app. New Reminder application is updated more fully, easier to use and the new interface is also easier to see. Attaching addresses and images to the prompt is also easy.
Also integrated Siri virtual assistant becomes more useful. Ordering Siri to add a reminder like "Remind me to feed the cat at 6pm tonight".
New Find My application is a combination of Find My iPhone and Find My Friends. The new interface is beautiful and has a search feature even when the device is offline, thanks to the Bluetooth network. Although this feature has not been tested much, it has proved useful when saving a 17-year-old girl.
Apple also said iOS 13 helps improve the speed of the system and applications. However, this improvement seems unclear on an iPhone Xs. So we will have to wait for reviews on older devices.
The new swipe keyboard is quite interesting, although not a new feature. Swiping on the keyboard will help write faster, but it may take a long time to get used to. Also this feature only works on English keyboards, not yet support Vietnamese keyboard.
The interface of the volume indicator has changed, from a very large square displayed in the center of the screen into a small pull bar located on the left. So you will no longer be able to hide the display when adjusting the volume, especially when watching movies or playing games.
iMessage has also been improved, allowing you to automatically share your name and profile picture with others when texting together. The interface is also a bit changed, looking more useful.
Memoji is more customizable and Apple has allowed the use of these memoji as stickers in iMessage, you can set up stickers with different emotions at will.
