Regarding the quality of processing, we can be completely assured of the rigidity and certainty of the components that make up the interior compartment. Of course, the impression of certainty is also partly due to the use of hard plastic in the cabin, especially on the dashboard and door panels. If viewed in a negative way, it is clear that Isuzu does not bring the luxurious experience like some of the expensive competitors in the segment, but if viewed positively, the extremely thick plastic panels in the mu-X interior will be extremely durable.
I also appreciate the safety of the Isuzu mu-X. Vehicles equipped with 06 SRS airbags, HDC downhill assistance system along with other safety systems such as anti-lock braking system ABS, electronic brake force distribution system EBD, brake assist system BA emergency system, BOS intelligent brake system, ESC electronic balance system, TCS traction control system, HSA slope departure support system. Overall, the Isuzu is a car that exudes practicality and safety from the smallest details.
As mentioned above, Isuzu is a particularly famous brand for diesel engine blocks. Isuzu is the only automaker in the segment to confidently apply a warranty of up to 5 years or 200,000 kilometers for the mu-X, whichever comes first. All competitors with mu-X wheels only have a 3-year or 100,000 km warranty. That shows how confident Isuzu is with their products!
In terms of performance, the Isuzu Mu-X is equipped with a 1.9-liter diesel engine that produces a maximum of 150 horsepower at 3,600 rpm, 350 Nm of torque from 1,800 to 2,800 rpm. /minute. The mu-X engine is a small, economical segment in the segment because Isuzu wants to emphasize its fuel economy as well as engine manufacturing technology in line with the new trend of the vehicle industry. a little bit.
With trapezoidal chassis structure inherited TRUCK DNA gene code from trucks, mu-X has the ability to operate stably, strongly and smoothly across many different terrains. The sturdy chassis, also a truck’s genetic code, helps protect users better.
It is no coincidence that Isuzu is always trying to improve performance and reduce emissions on each of their diesel engines. In the passenger car segment in particular, the main customer group of Isuzu Vietnam is the transport businesses and for the transport industry, the durability and saving of the engine are extremely important factors.
Why are diesel engines more economical than gasoline engines? The big reason is that the diesel engine has a higher thermal efficiency (Thermal Efficiency) than the gasoline engine. Gasoline cars have a thermal efficiency of about 25-32%. As for diesel cars, this figure is up to 46% like Isuzu’s engine. Thermal efficiency tells us the efficiency of converting the energy in fuel into useful energy used to pull the vehicle. Put simply, the energy burned by the fuel in the combustion chamber is converted into two forms. The first is the kinetic energy to propel the car – this is a useful form of energy. The second is converted to heat generating heat, which is wasted energy.
So what makes the thermal performance of diesel engines so good? This is because the compression ratio of diesel engines is often higher than gasoline engines. Oil engines often operate with a static compression ratio of about 16: 1. With this ratio, the gas mixture between diesel and air will ignite by pressure, so no spark plugs like gasoline engines are needed. Gasoline engines usually operate with a lower compression ratio of about 11: 1 and need spark plugs to ignite the air (Mazda’s Skyactiv engine with compression ratio can be up to 14: 1 is a special case). Being able to compress air more intensely makes the oil engine have better thermal efficiency.
The difference also comes from the fuel / air ratio in the combustion chamber. Gasoline engines with this ratio range from 12: 1 to 18: 1. Under normal operating conditions, this ratio of gasoline engines is usually maintained at 14.7: 1 because this is the ratio causing gasoline and oxygen to be completely burned. Oil engines have a much wider range, from 18: 1 to 70: 1 and are capable of operating at a “very poor” rate, meaning that they use extremely little fuel. In addition, diesel fuel has a density of about 15% more dense than gasoline, which means that although it has a slightly lower energy density than gasoline (45,500 kJ / kg compared to 45,800 kJ / kg), if 1 kg is burned diesel, engines still produce more than 1 kg of gasoline.
So what about practical experience? Of course I’m not expecting an interesting driving experience or the ability to get into the “god of sadness” cornering. The Isuzu mu-X is a family car and it does its job well. The 1.9L engine block is not too powerful, but it has enough power to make the 7-seat SUV glide smoothly. If I had to point out a small minus point then I would find this engine to be noisier than the opponent. Steering wheel feeling is relatively heavy but real hand. I like the feel of the mu-X’s electric power steering, though some people will find it too heavy and prefer Everest’s electric power steering. The Isuzu mu-X 6-speed automatic gearbox does its job whether it talks about smoothness or optimum gear ratio when traveling on the highway, the 10-speed Ford Everest gearbox is still superior.
An interesting surprise about the Isuzu mu-X is the entertainment center screen that supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a “rarity” in the 7-seat SUV segment in Vietnam. These are two smartly connected interfaces with phones that, once used to, you will find “addicted” and annoyed when driving the car does not support them. The screen for the second row is also a unique feature of the Isuzu mu-X. The space in rows 2 and 3 is nothing to complain about, but it would be better if the third row folds flat with the car floor for easy loading. Hopefully this disadvantage will be overcome with the next product.
Isuzu Mu-X Prestige 2019 is a model that offers a lot of value for a very reasonable price. Isuzu mu-X Prestige 2019 is for customers who are looking for a smooth, spacious, fuel-efficient 7-seater SUV. With a listed price of only VND 960 million, Isuzu mu-X Prestige 2019 is the optimal choice for both individual customers and transport businesses.
