Comment on Apple MacBook Air 2019 has a heat sink and a fan that is not connected to each other results in a complete CPU failure by JohnIL

I have a 2019 MacBook Air and if you try and run Cinebench or any sort of benchmark I cant notice some throttling. The fan will run at high speed when you are benchmarking but in reality the fan is basically just circulating air through the chassis not directly over the heat sink for CPU. Awkwardly reached 95c CPU temp easily and quickly doing Cinebench and sadly this really hurts any ability to take advantage of the turbo mode. In fact its even difficult to see base speed of 1.6Ghz and its more like varying between 1Ghz and 1.2Ghz. In normal use of the MBA this really is haven’t an issue, but it proves that the MBA 2018/19 model is not up for heavy use at all. If you want true performance get a MacBook Pro, because the MBA is basically a really nice netbook.
