Coroner Géhane Kamel announced Tuesday the postponement of the public inquiry when the owners of this CHSLD considered that it would violate their constitutional rights.
On Friday, the new hearing dates were set from September 7 to 10, September 13 to 16 and September 20 to 23, at the Montreal courthouse.
During the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, 51 deaths were observed at CHSLD Herron. There were missing or quarantined staff, fear among employees and a shortage of equipment in the establishment.
The hearings of the public inquiry led by Me Kamel will resume on March 29, at the Joliette courthouse, with the case of the CHSLD des Moulins de Terrebonne.
