Why every business should have a website?

“Do I need a website for my business?” Well, the answer is yes. You need a website for your business, A GOOD DESIGNED SITE, USEFUL. The website is professionally designed, helping businesses increase sales and make a difference for the brand.

But, why is it important to have a website for business?

This is the first question that most customers ask THDigi.

The reason lies in the presence of search engines (Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc.) and because customer behavior is gradually changing over time to adapt to modern technology and to adapt to the times. digital.

And in the current era, customers often tend to order goods on the Internet instead of going to the store in person.

Let us be more clear! Let’s say if someone is looking for goods or services, they probably won’t go to the site. They will often go online to search and learn about those products and services first. And if your business can’t be found on the Internet, they will most likely choose another service.

Right now from ice cream parlors, small coffee shops, startups (in any field), IT companies or even small town electricians all have a website. And, why wouldn’t you? Building your first website can cost a little bit, but it gives you a lot of benefits.

Some of the benefits of website building include:

1. Website that proves your brand credibility

“What is your company website?” This is the first question you will hear when telling people about your business when you introduce your business or services when doing telesales or marketing on social media.

Over 30% of customers wouldn’t even be interested in a business if they didn’t have any website. So, if you want people to think your business is trustworthy, contact a website development company to build a website for your business.

2. Businesses have a website that will make it easy for customers to access

This is one of the main reasons why businesses need a website. When it comes to buying a product or service, most people prefer a business that is easily accessible and can be contacted whenever they want.

Now, whenever it comes to interacting with a business, more than 63% of customers use the company’s official website.

A website is where they can find everything about your business i.e. who you are, what services you sell and how they can contact you.

Also, a website will be up and running 24/7. Therefore, they can contact you at any hour of the day.

This gives you another reason why your business needs a website. Websites make it easy for consumers to reach you and buy your products or services. They can visit your website at any time and buy from you. You can even track how many users are visiting your website.

3. Get to know your customers better

Websites can help you build strong and lasting relationships with your customers.

Here’s how it happens:

  1. As I mentioned before, a website makes your business more trustworthy. This builds an initial level of trust with your customers and inspires them to do business or buy your product.
  2. While building a website, we can analyze both important aspects of users – such as what users like and what features make them stay. This helps deliver a great user experience.

So when you have a website, you are establishing trust among your customers and giving them a more perfect experience. So they stay and come back to use your service or buy your product. This is how you score loyal customers who support you and help you grow.

4. You can showcase your product/service in the best possible way

Presentation plays an important role if you want people to buy your product or service. This is very important, especially if you are a startup where every customer matters.

In that case, it’s important that we can showcase our expertise in the best possible way and have a website that can help do that. It gives you creative freedom. You can display your services however you want.

You can use the best images, short video tutorials, and downloadable PDF guides,…

And do you know how all of this can help? Customers get what they are looking for. This will help you in establishing a loyal customer base and boosting product sales.

5. Websites that help your brand get seen more

There is a nice restaurant near my house. Great food, great service and the variety is so rich that you can find everything you want to eat. Even so, the restaurant had very few customers.

Every time I pass by, I see only 7-8 people sitting there and enjoying the food. Reason? Not many people know about that restaurant. Because, it’s not the only restaurant in the neighborhood. There are several other restaurants. Others have even built an official website.

As a result they get more customers despite having average service and average quality food.

That’s the difference in creating a website. The truth is that a brand without a website is like a small store. It doesn’t matter how well you sell your product, how effectively you deliver your service – but it won’t work when few people know about it.

So, if you want your brand to shine and people to know your business, hire a web design service to have a full-fledged website.

You will realize how much you have been able to drive sales and attract more customers.

6. You can benefit from Google’s search engine

Having a website can also be shortlisted by Google, thus making it easy for customers to find you.

Now, one thing you might be wondering is: How important is it? Here’s how to do it:

In the old days, when customers had to do business with a company, they used to do a detailed background check and contact every previous customer to ask about you. In the end, only after they are certain, will they cooperate with you.

But times have changed. Customers have become smart. They no longer want to waste time running background checks. Instead, they prefer to search on Google. In fact, this is the first thing they will do after hearing your brand name.

Now, if you have a website and have done SEO right, it will be in the top Google searches. In addition, people can also find you using other keywords related to your business. This makes you more popular with people and more people willing to do business with you.

So if you want your startup to become famous and customers can easily find you on Google, have a website. This decision will benefit you significantly in the long run.

7. People still judge your credibility by your appearance

It’s not just me! Over 75% of users have admitted that they judge a company’s credibility by its website design. This means that customers are more likely to do business with you and buy your products if you have a website that helps them interact, build an initial level of trust, and that proves you are a worthy person. trust.

Now, if you don’t have a website, customers won’t even notice you at first sight, let alone trust you and think they want to do business with you. When you don’t have a website, you miss your chance.

So don’t make the mistake of not having a website.

8. Website is an important part of online marketing

We all know traditional forms of marketing that are hectic and time consuming like print releases, print ads and flyers. They cost you a lot of money and require a lot of time and effort. However, the results were not even as expected.

On the other hand, online marketing is less expensive and more effective. It can get you more results with less strenuous work and is therefore a much better alternative if you want to get things done faster.

Now, while online marketing can be an effective option to promote your business, it will be useless if you don’t have a website. Think of it as a sun that all the planets revolve around.

A website will be the final destination where you will send your customers from different channels like social networks, blogging, email marketing and video channels, etc.

And these metrics prove the effectiveness of these various online marketing mediums:

  1. More than 2.34 billion (67%) people are active on social networks every day
  2. Companies that blog 16 posts a month get 4.5x more leads
  3. Email marketing is 40 times more effective at attracting customers than any other social media channel
  4. Videos on Landing Pages can increase conversion rates by 80%.

So, if you want to benefit from online marketing, having a website is a must for your business.

9. You can strategically target your customers through a website

Another best thing about having a website is that you can not only get people to visit your website, but also track the following key performance indicators:

  1. Number of people visiting your website (regular visitors).
  2. Number of people who visited your website only once (unique visitors).
  3. Number of users viewing or visiting each page (Pageviews or impressions).
  4. Number of people who left without reading the page they visited (bounce rate).
  5. How long people visit your website content (average time on site).

All of these stats can help you figure out how you can strategically target your customers. You can see what kind of content users like, and how you can improve the user experience so they stay.

As a result, your website will be better and more people will visit it. So you should focus on having a good website.

10. All of your competitors already have a website

This point may sound cliché, but it makes a lot of sense. You are not alone in the market.

There are already thousands of companies selling the same products and services that you are selling, and most of them already have their own websites.

This means that if we consider all the benefits of having a website so far, they are already in an advantageous position. They seem more trustworthy in the market, they have built an initial level of trust with their customers, they are presenting their products/services in the best possible way and they are also benefiting from Google search.

11. Minimize the cost of premises

When you own a website to sell online, you can reach customers from anywhere, every region of the country instead of your store can only sell to locals. You can test selling on the web and gradually convert to an Online business model to reduce the cost of space (a small amount).

How to convert photos to black and white in Illustrator

Although Illustrator is Vector graphics software, it is not suitable for editing and color correction for images (because the image is in Raster format), however there are some projects where we need to edit the color of the image to consistent with the overall design. For basic editing such as color correction of images to black and white, we can do it directly in Illustrator and save the trouble of opening other image editing programs.

In this tutorial, we’ll look at how to create a black and white image with Illustrator so you don’t need to launch Photoshop to make this simple edit.

There are actually two different ways you can convert a photo to black and white using Illustrator. You can do so using the feature Convert to Grayscale or by using feature Saturation to remove saturation. Both of these features can be accessed in the Edit Colors section of the Edit menu.

However, if you want more advanced editing – such as curves and levels – you will have to use another application like Photoshop. Unlike Affinity Designer, Adobe Illustrator does not allow you to adjust the curves and levels of the image.

Convert photos to black and white with Illustrator

To create a black and white image with Illustrator, select the image and navigate to Edit > Edit Colors > Convert to Grayscale. In addition, you can also use the tool Saturation to reduce the saturation of the image to 0, this will also make it black and white.

To get started, you’ll need to import (or “place”) your image onto the workspace by pressing Control + Shift + P, or open an image file with Illustrator using Control + O.

For this tutorial, I will use the following example image:

Method 1: Convert to Grayscale

The first way you can convert an image to black and white with Illustrator is to select the image you want to convert and navigate to:

Edit > Edit Colors > Grayscale

Once selected, the color (or saturation) information will be completely removed from your image, making it black and white:

This is probably the fastest and easiest way to convert your images to grayscale.

It should be noted that this method will also work on vector objects, not just images.

Method 2: Remove Saturation

The second way that you can create black and white images with Illustrator is by using the Saturation feature. You can do so by navigating to:

Edit > Edit Colors > Saturation

Once selected, a menu will appear allowing you to manually adjust the saturation of the image:

Moving the slider to the right will increase the saturation of the image, making the colors more vibrant and intense. However, reducing the saturation will remove the color from your image, making it black and white:

Just like Convert to Grayscale, this method will also work on vector paths; not just images.

Although this method is a bit more complicated (since it includes an extra step,) the benefit of using the Saturation tool is that you can control the amount of saturation in the image.

The Convert to Grayscale feature completely removes saturation. In short, the Saturation setting gives you more control.

The unity of style in web design

A style guide is a set of standards and rules that help set up a website in one style and simplify the work of designers and developers. The unity of style has the effect of creating an inseparable image of the company or products and their design purpose.

But does the style guide always give the design a unified style and reflect the company’s mission? When is it the key to harmony, and when is it a set of rules and patterns?

To understand this, let’s try to figure out what unity of style means and how to achieve it in practice. Let’s look at a specific case – Style guide for website design.

Designl outcrowd

Why is unity of design style essential?

In web design, stylistic consistency between pages helps users understand that they are still on the same website, no matter which page they visit. This is not only a tribute to aesthetics but also a functional necessity. The style consistency helps users navigate the site’s information space better. The harmonious and coherent unity arouses users’ confidence in the product. All this is great, but how to achieve this?

Based on the basics of layout

To develop a Style Guide, you need to know the basics of layout and style consistency. These are not identical buttons and icons, not identical fonts and indent spacing, not the same color scheme.

Basic tools and techniques to create a unified style:

1. Unified color palette

  • Website color palette (a set of primary, secondary, and complementary colors)
  • Matching colors
  • Color gradation
  • Accent color

2. Unified graphics

  • The rhythmic unity of forms, colors, lines, proportions
  • Uniform layout ratio
  • Elements must be consistent – buttons, text fields, menus, checkboxes, etc.

3. Typography unity

  • Reasonable font type, color, size, line thickness
  • Font hierarchy and consistency
  • Indent and align text

4. Icon Collection

  • Icons need to match the overall goal and style of the website
  • The stylistic unity of icons
  • Clear language of symbols
  • Icon hierarchy
Design: Outcrown

5. Pictures

  • Express brand ideas
  • Corresponds to the theme of the site
  • Adhere to the general style of the site

6. Grid

  • Grid system
  • Space structure
  • Spacing between sections and elements, indents, etc.

7. Conditions and interactions

  • Consistent and consistent animation
  • Conditions of forms, links and buttons on hover and use
  • Hover menu view, active item, menu, etc.

8. Exceptions to the rules

(less used and requires professionalism)

  • Deviating from recommendations to get attention (e.g. accent, advertising)

9. Recommendations and Restrictions

  • Style options and suggestions
  • What is allowed for a certain style and what is not

Let’s sum it up

To achieve stylistic unity, the designer should see the project as an inseparable whole. When creating a Style Guide, you need to remember that it is first and foremost an operating system for the image of a company or product. The design language should be aimed at the target audience and reflect the voice of the brand. The integrated style is born from the unity of its idea and execution. The inner unity of style is based on established rules and principles. Layout techniques will help structure the project, balance the design and make it unified and harmonious.

This comprehensive approach helps to create a useful guide, maintains the consistency of style in any design work and makes it truly professional and complete.

Who is Titian? Discover the life and career of the Renaissance master of color

Titian, “Self-Portrait,” 1562. (Photo: Wikimedia Commons)

Besides the big names of Italian Renaissance painting such as Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael has an equally outstanding face. That is Titian (1488-1576) – the master of color. Born in the Late Renaissance, Titan made his mark among the greats thanks to his own philosophy of painting.

At the time, there were two leading schools for painting: Florentine and Venetian. Also known as “disegno” and “colore,” (drawing and color). Although both are important elements in painting, the Florentine school emphasizes drawing and considers it the most important factor in achieving spontaneity in painting. Contrary to Florentine, Venetian believes that color is the element that has the strongest influence on painting.

Titian, “Bacchus and Ariadne,” 1520-23. (Image: Wikimedia Commons)

And since Titian was born in the Venetian Republic – a country that came from the city of Venezia in Northeastern Italy, which lasted for a millennium, he was educated in the Venetian style. However, it was through his outstanding artistic talent and use of color that Titian raised Venetian painting to new heights, establishing it a strong position in Italian painting and inspiring the society. later Baroque painting.

Titian, aka Tiziano Vecellio, is believed to have been born between 1488-90 in the town of Pieve di Cadore, Italy – 128.75 km north of Venice. Like other painters of his time, Titian began to study painting at an early age. At the age of 10-12, he was transferred from his hometown to the city of Venice – the center of culture. There, thanks to family connections, the young Titian went to apprentice at the studio of the painter Gentile Bellini (c. 1429-1507) and his younger brother, Giovanni (c. 1430-1516).

The Bellini brothers were instrumental in revolutionizing Venetian painting, and it was in that studio that Titian learned the technique of decadent style and color.

Working with the artist Giorgione

While still working for Giovanni Bellini, Titian also met other contemporaries, including the painter Giorgione (1477/78-1510). Around 1509, Titian followed his predecessor Giorgione, becoming his assistant. Together, they produced many famous paintings. However, between the two is not without competition.

Like Titian, Giorgione inherited his technical prowess after working with the Bellini brothers for a while. He is particularly well known for his multi-layer painting technique to achieve a sfumato effect. However, Titian has always been considered by critics to be somewhat superior. Even today, when looking at the paintings done by the couple, historians still cannot distinguish which detail was in charge of whom, because the style or technique of the two are quite similar. .

Color masters

After Giorgione died in 1510 and Giovanni Bellini died in 1516, Titian became the leader of Venetian painting. Gradually, Titian broke away from the stylistic influence of his predecessors and gradually perfected his own style. Because of this, Titian’s career has grown, bringing him important clients such as doge, king, princess, duchess, pope, cardinal, and artist. It can be said that what Titian achieved is not inferior to the Renaissance legend Michelangelo, he even received the Freedom Of The City award for faces who made great contributions to the community when he visited Rome in 1546. .

Titian, “Venus of Urbino,” 1538. (Image: Wikimedia Commons)

The last years of life

At the age of 60, when he had a firm foothold in the painting world, Titian was still diligently studying, learning and constantly developing his style. In fact, according to many historical sources, Titian became more of a perfectionist as he got older. For example, there are paintings that took him 10 years to complete.

One bright spot towards the end of Titian’s career lies in his works on nature – a classic subject of Renaissance painting for a long time. At this stage, Titian’s strokes become more liberal, the colors and textures used in the paintings are also somewhat looser. The works of this period of the artist had a great influence on the Baroque art movement that followed.

Titian, “Diana and Actaeon,” 1556-69. (Image: Wikimedia Commons)

Titian has lived a brilliant life, achieving many successes in his career. He lived to be 88 years old, leaving behind unfinished Pietà.

Titian’s painting at the end of his life had a great impact on the history of Western painting. The artist’s bold and novel style of painting and use of color have inspired contemporary brushes like Tintoretto and El Greco, or successful painters like Rubens and Delacroix.

8 different types of websites and how to design them

When designing a web, there are many types of pages that you need to be aware of. Here are 8 different types of websites you should know about.

1. Homepage

The homepage is the main hub of your website and serves as the face of a brand.

Your homepage helps navigate users to different areas of your website, and it can also act as a conversion funnel. Because most people will access the website through the homepage, this is where design matters most.

The homepage can take many different forms, but while designing, it is important to remember that the purpose of the homepage is the main navigation and this is where the user will interact the most. You must show the user what information or product you are providing. Set up the site’s hierarchy and navigation on the homepage. Use the right color palette, logo, and images for your brand and business.

2. Magazine website

A magazine website filled with informative and educational articles, photos, and videos. Over the past twenty years, the magazine industry has changed from a print-only platform to a digital format. The magazine type of website works well for informational websites, especially publications from universities and institutions.

When you think about creating a magazine site, start by building a basic framework. Users will see a similar layout whenever they visit your homepage, and each article should have a similar layout and navigation. Keep in mind how responsive the overall design is to different screen sizes to ensure your content is easily readable on both desktops and smartphones.

3. E-commerce website

An e-commerce website is an online shopping place where users can buy products or services from your company.

A powerful e-commerce site that makes it easy to browse products, filter by category, highlight special sales, and make purchases. An easy way to get started is to create a website through a full-solution e-commerce platform like Shopify or Squarespace. Your team can easily update inventory and list new products online. Plus, because the system is interconnected, sales, logistics and marketing are all informed about what works well. In terms of design, e-commerce websites need to be easy on the eyes and well laid out to showcase outstanding products.

4. Blog

A blog with articles, images, and videos that are updated regularly. Blogs start with personal content, more casual than magazines. It is extremely popular for big brands and businesses to have their own blogs for news updates. Creating a Blog can improve the overall reputation of a company or an individual. The blog also provides material for social media posts and email campaigns.

However, a blog can also become cumbersome for small companies. Make sure you have the right team and strategy to keep your content up to date. It is not necessary to resort to blogging and instead providing a few videos or tutorials can be more helpful than having an outdated and not very informative blog.

5. Website Portfolio

A portfolio website allows creative professionals to create a place to showcase their best work. This is perfect for artists, writers, designers, filmmakers, builders, agencies, and more.

When you build a portfolio, there’s no need to add every project you’ve ever worked on. Instead, focus on creating categories of entries and highlighting the best work from each category. A portfolio website needs a little more creativity, so this is the place to try out unique layouts and add cool features.

6. Landing Page – Landing Page

A landing page is a specific type of page created for a marketing campaign to drive visitors to take a specific action.

The content on the landing page should be limited and geared towards the call to action (CTA) you want the user to take. Allow plenty of white space around your CTA and save elements unrelated to that campaign’s purpose for other pages.

landing page.

7. Social media site

There are about 2.77 billion people on social networks with dozens of different platforms available. No matter who your target audience is, you’ll probably find them on Facebook or Twitter or Instagram or Snapchat or LinkedIn. While you can’t redesign the platforms yourself, you do have some control over the look and feel of your site, and you can create content that drives shares.

Find a consistent look across all of your social media pages and website, so users instantly know your brand is behind the page. Use the same logo and color selection. Choose a specific voice and personality shine across all content.

When creating content, focus on things that have a high potential to be shared on social media, such as entertaining videos, infographics, memes, in-depth reports, and more.

8. Directory and contact page

The directory or contact page is where users can connect with you or others.

This type of site works well when you want to list an archive of businesses or people within an organization. For example, a local restaurant directory has eateries in the area with menus, price ranges, phone numbers, and reviews.

Choose the right type of website for your audience

Good design is not simply an attractive look, but also promotes user engagement and is highly targeted for the needs of the audience viewing the website. Pay attention to what other companies have done with their website designs and quickly determine which format works best for each project.

Learn Affinity Designer alphabetically from A – Z: Useful tools, tips and tricks

It can be seen that Affinity Designer is one of the best graphics applications on the market today. And if you are interested in learning how to use Affinity Designer, then this article will be quite useful for you. We have compiled a list of useful information about tools, tips and tricks for using this software alphabetically from AZ.

A for Artboards

Affinity Designer allows you to create multiple artboards, which are independent sub-canvas within your document. On the desktop, you can access the tool Artboard from the table Tools and on iPad you can activate it from the menu Document.

Also, if you are wondering how to change the background color in Affinity Designer, using Artboard is indeed the correct way. After creating an artboard, you can select it and then change its background color as you would with any other shape.

B for Brushes from Photoshop

You can easily take any set of brushes from Photoshop and turn them into Brushes for Affinity Designer.

Just move to Pixel Persona, then the table Brushes. Click in the top right corner to open the menu, click Import Brushes, then browse and select your Brush file.

These raster brushes can be used to create artwork on Affinity Designer, such as pencil sketches, traditional illustration styles, comic book styles, and more.

C is for Continuous Export

In Export Persona, you can easily export a file that, when you make changes to the design, automatically updates it by clicking on the box. Continuous.

This means that if you are integrating your image export into an external project, like a website or game, you can simply design and any time you test your project. , your images will always be up to date.

D for Dual Image Type Editing

Combination Vector Persona and Pixel Persona of Affinity Designer means you can edit raster and vector files in the same unified application. So not only can you edit both types of graphics without converting software, but you can also do both in the same design .

Vector sphere with raster texture

For example, you can create key shapes as vectors, then use Affinity Designer to add texture to those shapes using the raster brush types we mentioned earlier.

E for Embedding External Designs

You can take an Affinity Designer document and embed it in another, as many times as you want. As you make changes to the embedded document, you’ll see the versions in the main document update in real time.

This function can largely fulfill the role of non-destructive editing. It allows you to make all kinds of edits while preserving the original image and easily replaced with a new image.

G is Grid Gloriousness

Affinity Designer has an outstanding grid management system. You can create ten different grid styles, including square, isometric, triangle, plus a bunch of other grids.

In particular, it has the most advanced isometric grid system available in any vector application, as you can enable options Edit in Plane and Fit to Plane and then use all the regular shape drawing tools directly in isometric perspective, as if you were working in 3D.

I for Import Adobe Files

Affinity Designer has the ability to import PSDs. You can also import Illustrator AI, EPS and SVG files into Designer very efficiently. You can open files of Adobe software simply in Affinity Designer by going to File -> Import.

K for Keyboard

The iPad version of Affinity Designer has full keyboard support, and all the keyboard shortcuts on both this version and the desktop version can be fully customized.

Both versions have hotkeys for every tool and they can be set unique in each personality or you can use the same hotkeys on similar tools like vector brush vs brush pixels.

L is Layer

The Layers panel helps you to adjust layers and it is one of the most important parts in the software.

M for Mobile

The version of Affinity Designer for iPad is almost as full-featured as the desktop version. Personally, I now use it more than the desktop version.

With the addition of Apple Pencil to the feature, it also gives you the advantage of drawing directly on the screen, plus touch-based interactions like two-finger tap to undo, pinch to zoom, use Use your finger to blur the smudge tool, etc.

The experience could be even better if you’re using Affinity Designer on an iPad Pro, with its large screen and extra system resources.

N is Noise

If you want to know how Affinity Designer can add textures, one of the most accessible and flexible ways is through the Noise tool.

All you can do is drag the slider Noise in the color palette to your liking.

O for Opacity

Pick Transparency Tool and simply drag it over any shape to instantly add a fade effect.

Common mistakes when inserting text into the design

Typography is an important part of design, it helps you easily convey content to the audience. Inserting text into the design needs to be focused and calculated carefully because it can be confusing and annoying for the viewer. We have compiled some mistakes when inserting text into the design that amateurs often make, you can refer to and draw your own lessons.

Using too many fonts

If you use too many fonts and are not selective, it will definitely ruin your design. Fonts do not simply represent the content of the text, but each type of font carries a message, a different way of conveying the message, and it directly affects the perception of the viewer.

Ignore the contrast

Contrast is an important factor and it makes your design readable. This is true for printed materials, websites or billboards and much more.

Not having enough contrast between the background and the typeface is a common mistake that makes text hard to read and hurts the eyes of the viewer. You only have a few seconds to grab someone’s attention with your design. So don’t waste their precious time figuring out the words you want them to read.

Excessive use of uppercase, bold and italic letters

Using too many variations of typeface such as uppercase, bold, italic, and underline – can make the text look unprofessional and lose its order. That’s an issue when it comes to readability.

If you’re using these text effects for accents or accents, consider and emphasize only the important elements. All of these are fine when used sparingly and judiciously not to add to be added.

Double the distance

Stop putting two spaces between periods (and other punctuation) at the end of a sentence and start the next sentence. It just creates a weird gap. This spacing can even become confusing at the end of the line and create a lack of alignment.

Forget Device/Screen Size

Don’t forget about mobile users when choosing sizes and fonts on website designs, emails or even promotional images on social networks.

Font size has a big effect on whether people can understand the message. Some typefaces are also made to look good in designs with small screens, while others are better suited for large screens.

When thinking about adjusting fonts consider font size and style. Line spacing is equally important.

Use fonts that do not support Vietnamese

Have you noticed that on the Internet today there are many designs created by amateur designers who often make mistakes in using fonts, they often use any font to type Vietnamese, and most Fonts available or downloaded online are often not Vietnameseized and may not support Vietnamese.

When using these fonts, your design will become unbalanced and unprofessional. To type in Vietnamese, you should use a font that supports Vietnamese or a Vietnameseized font that you can find a lot on DesignerVN’s font library.

Great illustrations and effects in design

Illustrations are becoming more and more popular in the design of websites and apps. They are used with more and more frequency, its purpose is not only to bring aesthetics to the website but it also brings many other great values. This article will show you the amazing effects it brings.

Illustration: Febin_Raj

Illustrations perform various functions. They act as explanations, visual examples, make the brand recognizable, maintain the stylistic consistency of the project, and help highlight key details. Illustrations make the project unique and memorable, one-of-a-kind and many other benefits it offers.

Let’s take a look at the typical benefits that illustrations bring.

1. Notice

Illustrations are great for creating visual guides. Simple drawings are much better than photos because they do not contain distracting details and clearly show the necessary user actions or steps. With the help of illustrations, you can briefly present your company’s activities, telling your own story.

Instructions such as buying steps, stages in the process are presented clearly, easier to understand with the help of illustrations.

Mobile Apps – Hobbies

2. Navigation

Illustrations are essential for navigation. They make it easy to create “paths” and show users where to go and where things are. Images of arrows, pointers, pointing hands, lines can create visual “paths” – all of which contribute to better user navigation on the site.

Landing Page – Kitchen

3. Emphasize, highlight the main thing

A fun, unique illustration that immediately grabs attention. If a drawing and an image with the same visual weight are next to each other, the user’s eye is more likely to be attracted to the painting. This is the special point of our perception.

The highlight illustration should be placed exactly where we want to direct the user’s attention, not to fill the empty space of the layout, place it aimlessly and spontaneously.

Mobile application – Blue collar

4. Icons, stickers

Icons, stickers, pictograms created with illustration techniques are more attractive, interesting and unique. Drawn icons help maintain the unity of the design style, creating accents. Along with function, they can be used as decorative elements.

5. Brand awareness

Illustrations are an integral part of a brand’s style, along with its colors, fonts, logo, and mascot. Illustrations help emphasize the brand’s characteristics, to distinguish it from many other brands. An illustration that is used consistently on the website, on product packaging, on business cards and other media will quickly be remembered by users and associated with the brand.

6. Attracting attention

An illustration that stands out, harmonizes, or is simply beautiful captures the eye and sparks interest, but also conveys the spirit of the content. Illustrations that help visually stand out are much more effective than using stock images.

Mobile Application – Infinity

7. Better Content Awareness

Illustrations in a long text not only make it clearer and more interesting, but also contribute to easier reading and perceiving of information. A large number of images, especially detailed photos, often complicate the feel of the text and make the page visually heavier. Minimalist little drawings help break up the “wall of text” and make it easier to read.

8. Create atmosphere, mood

The use of illustrations for embellishment and decoration is only reasonable if the design is intended to create a special atmosphere.

If you know in advance the mood to be created and what kind of atmosphere the user will enjoy, it will be easier for you to choose the illustrations and decorative elements.

Mobile Application – BikeMap

9. Character Creation

A character drawn and shaped by graphics will attract attention, win the sympathy of users, arouse sympathy. For example, what happens if you remove the cute yellow bird from this app? Will any kids enjoy the app? Of course not. And if you replace the drawing with a picture of a bird? The answer is the same. Indispensable character!

Mike’s Kids App | Creative Mints

It also works well with adults – the mascots, different characters and images still win our hearts. Personalizing your brand image is a smart marketing move. No matter how old you are, Mickey Mouse is still quite familiar to you that you won’t mistake for anyone.

First of all, the character is a friend and helper. For example, on the Duolingo website, an owl helps with language learning, praise, approval, and awards for achievements. The owl is simply sketched, even a sketch, but such a character is remarkable and evokes positive emotions.

The illustrator’s job is to create a recognizable and memorable image that will be associated with the brand by the user and evoke the desired emotions. Then the user will come back to them again and again, like to their good old friend.

10. Eliism Style

A beautiful painting is a work of art, not a product for mass consumption. By decorating designs with high-quality, stylish and striking illustrations, illustrators create more than just a unique product. They convey information belonging to the user to a certain circle and convey nonverbally that this resource unites people of good taste, education and culture. The illustrations may also reflect certain traditions. There are so many resources out there that this is extremely important.

For example, the illustrations on this page spread the good old British spirit (hence, the quality of the products and the reliability of the company):

Why do users love illustrations?

Illustrations are always attractive to users. They make the design human, authentic and inspiring.

On the Roof by Outcrowd

Hand-drawn illustrations evoke more emotion in people and attract attention, thus increasing their responsiveness to the information provided.

The Internet today is a place of communication, contact and mutual understanding. Because businesses rely on it to create an atmosphere that attracts users, to gain their trust and interest. Illustrations are one of the best tools for this purpose.

If you are not a designer but the owner of a website in the future, you should research the portfolios of different designers to choose the illustration style you need and make sure they are of high quality.
