Candidiasis symptoms

THE vaginal candidiasis, the most well-known form of the disease, causes whitish and thick discharge, itching and redness in the vagina and pain during sexual intercourse. The situation is similar in other types of the disease, with cases of itching and the appearance of white spots.

Treatment of candidiasis

The treatment of candidiasis is usually a simple procedure. At first, the specialist doctor recommends the use of antifungal creams or ointments over the infected and irritated region. In case of persistent lesions, it is possible to prescribe some medications.

Candidiasis remedies

There are different types of remedies that can be prescribed to fight candidiasis. The most common of these is the fluconazole. Some other drugs possibly used to treat the disease are itraconazole and ketoconazole.

Home treatment of candidiasis

There are two foods that can be used to fight vaginal candidiasis: plain yogurt and vinegar. O yogurt should be applied to the vagina with the aid of a syringe without a needle. The vinegar it should be used in mixture with water and kept in contact with the vaginal region for 15 to 20 minutes. Both treatments should be repeated two to three times a day.

Candidiasis has a cure

Candidiasis has cure and treatment is generally simple and does not require the use of medication. The most important in this case is to make the correct diagnosis and see a doctor at the first sign of yeast infection.

Candidiasis in man

More common in women, candidiasis can also affect men. Male (or penile) candidiasis causes skin rashes, mild pain and itching in the penis, especially in the glans. The treatment is identical to that performed in women and the cure rate is similar as well.
