The official website of Barcelona has announced that this club has successfully recruited Aguero when the player’s contract with Man City expires.

According to the club’s official website Fcbarcelona.com, Barca has announced that the team and Sergio ‘Kun’ Aguero have reached an agreement for the player to join the Camp Nou from 1 July when his contract with Manchester City expired.
The player will sign a contract until the end of the 2022/23 season and his release clause is set at €100 million. Aguero’s presentation will take place on Monday (local time) with the following procedures: signing the contract, taking pictures at Camp Nou, press conference.

At Barcelona, Aguero will become the new partner of Lionel Messi, his Argentina teammate. Barca have experienced a not very successful 2020/21 season in La Liga, signing Aguero is seen as a move to keep Messi.
