Goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen thinks Sevilla deserves a point against Barca in the La Liga round of 30 on June 19.
“The match is very tense and opportunities are for both teams”, Marca quoted Ter Stegen. “A tie is reasonable. We lost two points and now we will have to focus on winning the remaining points.”
Stegen’s view is opposed to teammate Gerard Pique or coach Quique Setien. These two people think that Barca deserves to win.
This match Ter Stegen has four saves for Barca, all in the second half. These include good reflexes before Munir El Haddadi’s kick in the 55th minute, or the cannon shot in the near corner of Lucas Ocampos in the 87th minute. Marca selected Ter Stegen as the best player of Barca this match.
Ter Stegen extended his high form, with four consecutive matches to keep a clean sheet. The 28-year-old goalkeeper has twice assisted assists for his team-mates this season. He and Lionel Messi are the two best performing players.
In the next match on June 23, Barca will play Athletic Bilbao at home. Every four days, they turn to Celta Vigo, Atletico Madrid and then Villarreal. The results of these four games will greatly affect the chances of Setien’s teachers and students.
