The iPhone 11 Pro Max is currently Apple's best camera smartphone, though the overall score is not yet able to surpass the Huawei Mate 30 Pro and Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro on the DxOMark rankings.
DxOMark recently announced the results of an in-depth review of the rear camera system of the iPhone 11 Pro Max. The results showed that, despite the excellent image quality, the Apple phone ranked third in the DxOMark ranking with a total score of 117.
According to DxOMark, the iPhone 11 Pro Max tested the camera while running iOS 13.2, so these tests include Apple's latest Deep Fusion upgrades.
In the review, this page said that the iPhone 11 Pro Max has dynamic range, detail, autofocus and image stabilization when shooting videos. Besides, the noise reduction capability of the new iPhone is also significantly better than its predecessor iPhone XS Max.
In addition, DxOMark also appreciated the image quality at 1x and 2x zoom levels on iPhone 11 Pro Max. However, compared to the 5x optical zoom capability of Huawei phones, it is much inferior. The iPhone 11 Pro Max's portrait removal font is also not as impressive as other Android flagships because it removes small details like the subject's hair.
In terms of video recording capabilities, the iPhone 11 Pro Max camera continues to impress with its wide dynamic range, high detail and up to 112 points. This score helps Apple's iPhone model in the first place in terms of video recording capabilities with the Mi CC9 Pro.
And yet, DxOMark also rated the iPhone 11 Pro Max as the smartphone with the best sound quality today with a score of 71.
