If you have signed up for a trial program for Apple developers, iOS / iPadOS 13.3 beta 1 will appear in your software update. If not, you must wait until the Public version is released for you to be allowed to update.
According to Apple's notes for the first beta release of iOS / iPadOS 13.3, it focused on improving the stability of the system, fixing the RAM manager that caused multitasking errors on iOS 13.2, and adding more. Some new features for testing purposes before applying for official updates.
Here are some new features that were discovered in iOS / iPadOS 13.3 beta 1:
- On iOS / iPadOS 13.3 beta 1, Apple added the communication limit in the Screen Time section of Settings to limit who kids are talking to via the Phone, Messages, and FaceTime apps.
- Fix multitasking bugs – A beta appears to fix iOS 13.2 issues that cause apps to refresh more often than usual
- Memoji / Animoji – In the Keyboard section of the Settings app, there's a new option to prevent Animoji and Memoji from showing on the Emoji keyboard
- The Apple Watch – Digital Crown application of the Apple application icon is now gray instead of black
