Apple again asked to reduce assembly tax and imported from China: AirPods, Apple Watch, iPhone components

Currently the 15% tariff that the US applies to consumer goods imported from China was applied at the end of September. This tax is applied to AirPods, Apple Watch and some iPhone components. And Apple is trying to get rid of taxes on items it makes in China and imports them into the US right now. In the past few months, Apple has sometimes succeeded, sometimes failed. They succeeded in asking for tax deferment on some items, but when they asked for a 15% tax on Chinese-made components inside the forthcoming Mac Pro, President Trump refused. Now, those Apple products that want a 15% tax cut include AirPods, HomePods, Beats headsets and many other components like batteries for iPhones and MacBooks.
