The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra has already been taken in hand weeks before its official presentation. A Filipino YouTuber, Tech Buff PH has already received the phone, and did not hesitate to present it on video.
The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra did not steal its name, since seeing its LCD screen next to the photo sensors and its prominent photo module, it really seems to be an “Ultra” smartphone.
It is quite rare to see a YouTuber unveil a smartphone before its release. Recently, we got to see famous YouTuber Dave2D showcasing photos of the OnePlus 9 Pro that showed a partnership with Hasselblad, but he didn’t own the phone.
Unlike him, Phone Buff PH has received the smartphone well, and intends to share everything with its community in preview. His video only stayed online for a few minutes. Nonetheless, it was good enough for it to be uploaded and images leaking onto the web.
The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra is expected to be presented at the end of February in China. If a Filipino youtuber already has a smartphone, this suggests an international launch. The Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra last year was not launched outside of China. We will have to wait many more weeks before seeing it arrive in France.
Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra: 120X zoom, 5000 mAh and a second LCD screen
The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra uses the same screen as the Xiaomi Mi 11. We then find the front a punched QHD + 120 Hz curved OLED display on the top corner left. However, it is on the back that the two smartphones are different.
The huge photo module will not leave anyone indifferent, since it stands out a lot from the phone. In addition, it occupies the entire width of the smartphone, like that of the OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk Edition before it. The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra uses a 50 MP main sensor, probably Samsung’s new GN2. This one is supported by a 48 MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, as well as a 48 MP periscope sensor allowing a powerful 120X zoom.
In addition to the very high-end photo sensors which should allow the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra to rise to the top of the DXOMARK photo ranking, the grip reveals a second LCD screen on the back. This one will display exactly what is on your main screen. So it will be very easy to take selfies or videos with the lenses on the back. Just like the new GoPro Hero 9, this second screen could appeal to many vloggers.
On the upper edge, we find again the second loudspeaker designed in partnership with Harman Kardon. Thanks to the thickness of the smartphone, it could be that it has a larger cavity, thus allowing a higher sound volume. It can also be noted that the smartphone is IP68 certified for water resistance, a first for Xiaomi.
Finally, we know that the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888. In addition, it will be powered just like the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro by a 5000 mAh battery, compatible with the 67W wired fast charging as well as with a powerful 67W wireless charging, a record. The smartphone is also compatible with the reverse charge 10W to charge your other devices.
