The optional specifications of the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class have been revealed. The new C-Class is the first in the Mercedes-Benz lineup to be electrified in all models. In addition, options comparable to those of the S-Class are installed, such as augmented reality navigation, digital light system, and rear wheel steering system. The domestic release is scheduled for the second half of this year, and specifications have not been decided.

In the interior of the new C-Class, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 11.9-inch center fascia touch display are applied. The center fascia display supports Mercedes-Benz’s latest 2nd-generation MBUX infotainment system and augmented reality navigation. The seat adjustment button is a method of adjusting the seat by applying pressure to the button.

The new C-Class is available with a rear-wheel steering system. The steering angle of the rear-wheel steering system is up to 2.5 degrees. Reduced turning radius by 43 cm. At speeds below 60 km/h, the rear wheels move in the opposite direction to the front wheels, and at higher speeds, the front and rear wheels move in the same direction to increase agility.

In the new C-Class, digital lights are applied in place of the existing LED high-performance headlamps. A projection module with 1.3 million pixels per headlamp and a digital light composed of 84 multi-beam LED modules change the irradiation angle by obtaining information from preceding vehicles and navigation systems.

Active Steering Assist is a 360-degree camera that provides additional lane recognition, improved curve performance on unpaved roads and improved lane keeping ability. Responsiveness and recognition performance of Traffic Sign Assist and Active Distance Assist have also been improved. A 48V mild hybrid is standard for the powertrain of the new C-Class.

The new C200 is equipped with a 1.5-liter gasoline turbo engine that produces a maximum output of 201 horsepower. The maximum output of the C200d and C220d diesel engines is 161 horsepower and 197 horsepower, respectively. The C300e, a PHEV model, is based on a 2.0-liter gasoline engine and produces a total system output of 308 horsepower. It runs 100 km on electricity.
