Hyundai Motor’s high-performance model ‘Avante N’ has entered the domestic sales countdown.
According to the Transportation Environment Research Institute under the Ministry of Environment on the 2nd, Hyundai Motor completed the emission and noise certification of the Avante 2.0 T-GDI on the 28th of last month.
Avante N is a high-performance brand in the 7th generation model released in April of last year.It is a model with N’ technology applied.
According to the previously released prototype, the front bumper is similar to the Avante N-line, but it is expected to have a more aggressive and sporty atmosphere, with a front bumper, air intake, and N-only wheels.
The rear part is differentiated by applying a large rear spoiler to the trunk lid and a large-diameter circular dual muffler to the rear bumper. In addition, N-specific high-performance parts such as suspension and brakes for dynamic driving performance are applied.
The engine is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbo GDI engine with a maximum output of 280 horsepower, and the transmission is mated to an 8-speed wet DCT or 6-speed manual transmission. Hyundai Motor Company has completed the emission and noise certification of the Avante N equipped with a manual transmission and the Avante N equipped with DCT by the Ministry of Environment.
In addition, for a certain period of time, the Avante N provides powerful driving capabilities such as N Green Shift, N Power Shift, N Track Sense Shift, Active Variable Exhaust System, and Launch Control, which raise the maximum performance of the engine and transmission to temporarily drive to extremes. It is expected that technologies that will show performance without regret will be applied.
Hyundai Motor plans to launch the Avante N in the second half of this year. After that, it plans to expand the N brand lineup to seven models by 2022 by putting in the Kona N, Kona N Line, and Tucson N Line. As a result, Hyundai is expected to broaden the range of choices for customers seeking high performance.
