AddArmor, an American bulletproof vehicle manufacturing and design company, has unveiled a bulletproof package for Hennessy trucks based on the Ford F150 Raptor. This pickup truck, which AdArmor has worked on, is a’Hennessey VelociRaptor 600 Twin Turbo’ and has been reborn as a high-performance pickup truck capable of delivering 600 horsepower and preventing even bullets.
Dyneema, a polycarbonate composite material used by AddArmor, is a material that is 15 times stronger than steel and 40% stronger than Kevlar, and has the ability to withstand explosives or attacks from AK-47 rifles. The body was prepared for attacks from various weapons, but AddArmor added a’security package’, an advanced security function to make the truck more secure.
The security package includes a’counter-attack’ sound system for counterattack attacks and electric shock door handles for dark situations. The exterior features reinforced front and rear bumpers and includes a dual battery system, sirens and searchlights, intercom systems and explosive scanning capabilities. The tires are equipped with run-flat off-road tires that can drive up to 80 km/h even in emergency situations, and Brembo brake discs and front suspension leveling kits help with driving.
The Hennessy Velociraptor pickup equipped with the package takes only 4.2 seconds to accelerate from a standstill to 60 miles per hour (96 km/h) even with the bulletproof package installed. AddArmor’s security package is a package that can be used for both new and used cars and is available from $30,000 (3,355 million won). AddArmor has shown bulletproof kits for the Ferrari 458 Speciale and Audi RS7 in the past, making various bulletproof models from passenger cars to commercial cars.
