Amazon Prime Day is over. Sorry, but it’s true. Yes, there is always next year to look forward to. However, just because Prime Day is done for the year, it doesn’t mean that Amazon has stopped offering discounts on the kind of technology that we know you’re in to (smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, smart speakers and smart displays to name a few). For example, the mid-range unlocked Dual SIM Nokia 6 (2017) is now on sale for $129.94 at the online retailer, a 27% savings from Amazon’s usual price of $175.
Now we desperately need to point out that even though the Nokia 6 (2017) was released in January of 2017, it has been updated to Android 9 Pie. The handset is equipped with a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920. Remember, this phone came out over 18 months ago so you’ll have to make do with an aspect ratio of 16:9. Under the hood is the Snapdragon 430 SoC with 3GB of memory and 32GB of expandable storage. A 128GB capacity microSD slot is included. There is a 16MP camera with an aperture of f/2.0 on the back and an 8MP selfie snapper in front. Keeping the lights on this handset is a 3000mAh battery. The Nokia 6 (2017) will work with GSM carriers in the U.S. such as AT&T and T-Mobile.
While the sale price offers a good bargain, Amazon will take another $50 off the phone if you successfully apply for the Amazon Rewards Visa Card. That would take the cost of the device down to $79.94.
If you’d rather a new phone with a stupendous battery, the Motorola Moto G7 Power (and its 5000mAh battery) has been on sale recently. Best Buy has the unlocked Moto G7 Power for $49 (a whopping $200 off) if you buy it and activate a new line on Verizon.
