100 Thieves officially joined the Renegades Australian team

100 Thieves officially announced they have taken over the Renegades CSGO lineup.

This is not the first time 100 Thieves have participated in Counter-Strike. Matthew "Nadeshot" Haag's organization signed a Brazilian squad in 2017 after the team reached the final of the PGL Krakow Major. The thing is, this CSGO squad has never played in a 100 Thieves shirt.

An important point for 100 Thieves to recruit the Australian team is that they are ready to play in Los Angeles. "We are currently in the process of building a 15,000-square-foot esports center in LA," explained Haag. "If you want to play for us, we want you to be with us and we want everyone to have the same vision and culture, all goals must be in common."

This decision was made while the Australian team was on the rise despite having difficulty at FACEIT Major London due to visa problems.

The team finished third in the StarLadder Major Berlin, and then competed strongly in Belek, Turkey in StarSeries i-League Season 8 Finals (finishing fourth).

The 100 Thieves CSGO roster is as follows:

  • Aaron "AZR" Ward
  • Justin "jks" Savage
  • Joakim "jkaem" Myrbostad
  • Jay "Liazz" Tregillgas
  • Sean "Gratisfaction" Kaiwai
  • Aleksandar "kassad" Trifunović (coach)
